Volunteer Homestay Program
Program Introduction
The International Volunteer Internship Program, also known as the Volunteer Homestay Program, offers university students the opportunity to work as international volunteers at non-profit organizations or companies abroad. Over a period of 4 to 12 weeks, participants join local staff and international peers in workplace learning and hands-on programs. Outside of work, students can travel locally, visit universities, and experience authentic cultural life. Accommodation is provided in host families or shared apartments. Application Requirements

Commit to returning to China on time after the program
Possess basic English communication skills and pass the organizer’s interview and assessment
Willing to accept assigned work; proactive, diligent, responsible, and committed
Understand and follow the rules of the host company/institution; respect supervisors and colleagues
Independent, healthy, positive, friendly, and open to new experiences
Represent Chinese university students with integrity; actively engage in local culture while showcasing Chinese traditions
University students aged 18–30 with strong academic performance and good conduct, recommended by their school

Accommodation Arrangement
Participants will stay in either a homestay or an apartment with a private room. All homestay families are carefully selected through on-site inspections to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
Meals: Both homestays and apartments offer reasonable meal arrangements. For students staying with host families, meals and guardian-style support are provided—ensuring a comfortable living environment, nutritious meals, and peace of mind for parents, so students can focus fully on their learning and experience.

Application Procedure
School Recommendation and Voluntary Application
01 Sign the agreement and pay the application fee
02 Take the English and personality assessment
03 Pay the program fee
04 Prepare and submit application materials
05 Match with job and accommodation, attend interview with overseas host organization
06 Prepare visa documents, receive interview coaching, and attend scheduled interviews
07 Attend the U.S. Embassy visa interview
08 Participate in pre-departure safety training
09 Depart for the United States and begin the program
10 Submit weekly reports and receive ongoing support
11 Complete post-program summary and report upon returning to school
